The Tasks tab

Tasks is today’s list of food safety work for the branch you are in: temperature readings, cleaning, the start-of-shift hygiene check and the other checks your restaurant policy asks for. The app makes each day’s tasks by itself, even without internet, from the setup wizard and the restaurant policy.

How do I see what I still have to do today?

Section titled “How do I see what I still have to do today?”

Open the Tasks tab. To do lists what is still open, earliest first. Done lists what was finished or skipped today, latest first. Each row shows the task, its time and the fridge or area it is for. Tap a row to open the task. A long list shows 15 tasks and loads more as you scroll.

Tap Late under To do and Done. A task becomes late one hour after its time. Tap All to see everything again.

Owners, branch managers and supervisors see every task in the branch. Tap the filter icon at the top and choose Mine. The icon is filled while Mine is on. Staff have no filter: they always see their own tasks and the tasks given to nobody.

Where are the cleaning, trip and cooking records?

Section titled “Where are the cleaning, trip and cooking records?”

Tap the book icon at the top of the Tasks tab. It opens Records (cleaning, trips, and cooking or cooling temperatures). Food that is still cooling also shows at the top of To do under “Cooling now”; tap it when the food has cooled.

How do I record something that is not on my list?

Section titled “How do I record something that is not on my list?”

Tap the + at the top. You can take a reading now, log a clean, log a trip or log a cooking, reheating or cooling temperature. You only see what your role may record.

“Nothing left to do” means every task for today is finished. “Nothing done yet” means nothing was finished today. For staff, “Nothing assigned to you yet” means there is no task for you right now.

From the equipment, areas and opening hours chosen in the setup wizard, and from the restaurant policy (how often each check is needed). To change a task’s time, how often it repeats or who does it, an owner or branch manager opens the task and its task settings.

Staff only see their own tasks and tasks given to nobody. Supervisors, branch managers and owners see all of them.

Open it and skip it with a reason. If it is never needed, ask an owner or branch manager to change or pause it in its task settings.
